Our Community
Our missions are rooted in the desire to live in harmony with nature and to share the healing we have found through plant medicines, ancestral wisdom, and community living. Each of us is committed to walking the path of personal growth, service, and love—supporting others as they reconnect with themselves, the earth, and spirit. Together, we hold space for transformation, honoring the land and the sacred medicines that guide our work.

Icarito
Born and raised in Costa Rica, with ancestral ties to Colombia as well, Caro is profoundly guided by her ancestors. Her grandmothers taught her from a young age to pay attention to nature and commune with plants, and they continue to guide her in deepening her love and understanding of the elements. Mother Nature has been her greatest mentor, leading her to many places to learn the ancestral wisdom of the Earth. Her ceremonial practices have developed from over 10 years working with the native tribes of Central, North, and South America, alongside the Master Plants. The Red Road has given her a grounded foundation and deep connection to Source. Guided by these beautiful traditions, she holds space with gratitude, serving the greater human collective.
Gabo
Gabriel is the Mycelium Keeper at Finca Corazón. He cultivates special varieties that guests can learn about and engage with during their stay. Gabriel’s passion for entheogens led him to apprentice with a leading teacher and master of mycelium healing. He soon realized that his mission was to share this medicine with others and to grow it in the gentle climate of Costa Rica’s southern zone. Side by side with Finca Corazón, he manages Medicina Fungi—a venture offering medicinal mushrooms for therapeutic use.

Selena
Selena’s journey began in Nicaragua, where she felt blessed to be surrounded by abundant nature on her grandmother’s farm—cultivating the earth and living in harmony with animals and the ecosystem. In Costa Rica, she encountered the magic of plant medicines, which sparked a new vision of a life rooted in simplicity, sustainability, and vibrant health. Today, this is her reality. She lives on this magical land with her family and community. She is a guardian of nature, a servant of the land’s medicines, and a lover of the alchemy of food—its cultivation, harvesting, preparation, and preservation. She comes with an open heart to share the ancestral wisdom that blossoms when we live in connection with the natural kingdom.
Marilyn
From an early age, Mari felt called to explore life’s deeper questions and seek the wisdom that nature has to offer. Initially, she found answers through spirituality in the form of religion and eventually came to rest in the feeling of union with all. Through plant medicines and her connection to the animal kingdom, she realized that the body is the anchor that connects us to being. She has now dedicated herself to supporting the path of seekers through therapies that blend aromas, medicinal plants, crystals, and massage. She now tends lovingly to this land she lives on, caring for it as both teacher and companion.

Chad
Originally from Minnesota, Chad has been working with entheogens for over ten years. But it was his experience with Ayahuasca that sparked a spiritual awakening, inspiring him to stay on, support ceremonies, and deepen his knowledge of the medicines.
When Finca Corazón was born, Chad became an essential part of it. As a skilled carpenter and handyman, he leads the efforts to build infrastructure, shared spaces, and homes on the land. Alongside the family, Chad opens his arms, heart, and home to all who wish to explore the medicines and experience their mystery and profound teachings.
